Clive FinkelsteinDuring the past 23 years, Majid Abai has focused on providing enterprise IT & data strategies as well as implementation of major business intelligence, knowledge management, master data management, data integration, and enterprise architecture solutions to Fortune 2000 and other large organizations • Majid coauthored “Data Strategy”, published by Addison-Wesley in 2005 to provide a comprehensive roadmap in building a sound data strategy for organizations • He is a member of the Intervista faculty and has developed and teaches classes in business intelligence, knowledge management, and enterprise information strategy and architecture at UCLA • Majid is continuously invited to consult and lecture on various information management and enterprise architecture subjects globally •

Kent BimsonIntervista Institute faculty member and leading expert in Enterprise Semantic Technologies and Modeling, Kent Bimson works with diverse clients in government and business organizations on complex integration challenges • He holds a PhD in Linguistics from UCLA and a M.S. in Computer Science from California State University Sacramento • Kent brings to the course many years of experience at SAIC, Lockheed and as an independent consultant • Among his projects is the support of the USAF 45th Space Wing in supporting its Knowledge Management Initiative using an ontology to integrate legacy structured and unstructured information • His expertise includes enterprise information integration, semantic and ontology modeling and semantic technology strategy •

Michael KullElliot Chikofsky is Chief Consultant for Engineering Management & Integration (EM&I). He has advised on IT investment and portfolio management, enterprise architecture, and systems management for both corporate and government clients since the late-1970s. Mr. Chikofsky chairs the Reengineering Forum industry association. Prior to joining EM&I, he was a research analyst and consulting director for the IT analyst firm Meta Group and an associate director in the consulting firm DMR Group. He is noted for his work on IT investment management, reengineering, reverse engineering, software tools and CASE environments, including IBM's AD/Cycle initiative. In the late 1980s, he was the research and technology director for the Excelerator CASE products. Chikofsky is past-Chair of the IEEE's international Technical Council on Software Engineering (TCSE) and co-chaired the first IEEE EQUITY conference (Amsterdam, 2007) on portfolio and IT investment issues. He also teaches undergraduate and graduate information systems engineering for both the University of Phoenix and Northeastern University in Boston.

Michael KullThis lively and strategically-oriented session clarifies the best practices of SOA implementation and management. It is animated by the eminent Bill Clarke - who is Senior Consultant for SOA Strategy with AgilePath Corporation, a specialist in helping companies and government agencies transition to Service Oriented Architectures. AgilePath has developed a set of SOA Playbooks that it uses to guide clients through the process of developing and implementing successful SOA strategies. Bill has over twenty years of experience as an independent consultant, market analyst and consultant with AgilePath. He has guided clients such as Hartford Life, U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Partners Healthcare, U.S. TRANSCOM (a DoD command), Lockheed Martin and others. Bill holds an M.A degree from Boston University where he is completing a Ph.D.

This course also draws upon some interesting research provided by The Burton Group, an independent research and advisory firm that assists enterprises and governments to reduce risk in the most complex IT environments.

Clive FinkelsteinAcknowledged worldwide as the originator of Information Engineering, Clive Finkelstein is a renowned consultant, instructor and frequent conference speaker.  His expertise includes the implementation of the Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture using Information and Enterprise Engineering methods.  Mr. Finkelstein has completed major projects for Defense, Government and Commercial organizations throughout the world. The emphasis of these projects - and core to Clive’s Strategic Modeling approach - is the alignment of strategic business plans to information systems.Clive also brings practical implementation expertise to Enterprise Architecture initiatives with emerging Portal,  XML and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) strategies and  technologies.Clive Finkelstein is the author of numerous books and articles including "An Introduction to Information Engineering", Addison-Wesley (1989),  "Information Engineering: Strategic Systems Development", Addison-Wesley (1992) and his latest book "Building Corporate Portals with XML" co-authored with Peter Aiken, McGraw Hill (2000)

Michael KullIan is a member of the Intervista faculty and has 25 years experience in applying information technology to support business innovation • He consults regularly with public and private sector clients on the development of Business Architectures to solve complex business problems • He is a partner and executive consultant for Business Architecture at Chartwell and has been a Business Architect with the Architectural Centre of Excellence for the Province of Ontario • He also introduced enterprise architecture design methods within large public and private sector organizations and was the associate director of the Convergent Engineering Institute, San Mateo, CA.
